Surgical Services

The Surgical Services Department consists of four (4) OR Suites, one (1) Endoscopy Suite, twelve (12) Outpatient Surgery beds, and six (6) Post-Op Recovery beds. The average case census is 450 per month and approximately 5,000 cases per year. The Surgical Services Department performs orthopedics, general surgery, ophthalmology, trauma, gynecology, ENT, vascular, urology, thoracic, and pediatric surgical procedures. The nursing staff need multiple certifications including: certified technician, certified OR registered nurse, certified central sterile technician, certified anesthesia registered nurse, pediatric certification, medical and surgical certification and are trained in ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) and PALS (pediatric advanced life support). PMCRH has recently added two new procedures to include bariatric surgery and computer-assisted total joint.
